WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.
Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrade r enables players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which will show a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests used. In Season 3 the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and some new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is even if the items are from another set of equipment.

Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a couple of options. This change is designed to allow players to get their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another important change is that crests have one purpose and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is recommended to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
